CCM vendor ratings 2026: a benchmark of reviews and analyst placements

Short answer

Quadient Inspire has the best mix of high ratings and review volume (4.79 weighted from 323 reviews across four sites) and the most analyst Leader placements. UniServe NXT has the best well-backed Gartner score, 4.9 from 182. Today's analyst evaluations come from IDC, QKS, Aspire and Omdia.

CCM vendor ratings are scattered across four review sites and a handful of mostly paywalled analyst reports. On their own, many of them mislead. G2’s CCM category is full of help desk tools, Capterra shows 5.0 scores from a single review, and most analyst placements only go public through vendor press releases.

So we put everything in one place. Every rating shows how many reviews sit behind it, and the method is at the bottom so you can check it. The data is from October 15, 2026, and you can download it as CSV.

The short version

Three things matter most for your shortlist.

  • Quadient Inspire has the strongest record. It’s the only product with 100+ reviews on two sites, its scores agree everywhere, and it has five analyst Leader placements from 2024 to 2026.
  • UniServe NXT is the best-reviewed challenger. Its 4.9 from 182 Gartner ratings is the best well-backed score in the category. But it isn’t on G2 or TrustRadius, so it all rests on one site.
  • Some big names have few public reviews. OpenText Exstream has 9 on G2, Messagepoint 4, Precisely 6 and ISIS Papyrus none. For these, lean on Gartner Peer Insights and reference calls.

Faded cells rest on fewer than 10 reviews. Blank cells: no rating recorded on that site. "Weighted" averages all sites by review count on a 5-point scale. "Adjusted" pulls low-volume products toward the category average (method below). Download the data as CSV.

High scores from few reviews prove little

A rating is only as good as the number of people behind it. In this chart, the further right a product sits, the more you can trust its score. Anything in the shaded area has fewer than 50 reviews in total, so a few new ones could move it a lot.

Quadient and UniServe pair high ratings with lots of reviews

Each dot is one product: review-weighted rating across G2, Gartner Peer Insights, TrustRadius and Capterra (y) against total reviews on those sites (x, log scale). Data as of 2026-10-15.

Conga Composer and Experlogix are document generation tools rather than full CCM suites. Adobe's G2 and Capterra listings cover the whole Experience Manager suite and are excluded.

Conga Composer has the most reviews (938, 918 of them on G2). But G2 files it under document generation, not CCM, so it’s a different comparison for most enterprise buyers.

Analyst placements, and who announced them

Four main analyst reports evaluate CCM vendors, and none is free. What’s public comes from the analyst’s own newsroom, a licensed excerpt or a vendor press release. The letter in each cell tells you which, so you can tell independent confirmation from a vendor’s own claim.

Who the analysts rate, and how we know

Placements in the main CCM evaluations of 2024 to 2026. Full reports are paywalled, so the letter after each placement shows where it was published. Blank means the vendor was not covered or its placement has not been published outside its own website.

A = issued by the analyst firm. X = analyst report excerpt (Omdia 2024, distributed by Intense Technologies). P = vendor press release on a newswire or the analyst's newsroom. T = trade media report of a vendor announcement. Placements announced only on vendor websites are not shown. Forrester's most recent CCM Wave dates from Q2 2016.

A few things to know when you read it:

  • QKS evaluated 24 vendors in 2026, but we only know the placements vendors chose to announce.
  • IDC’s 2026 MarketScape is known only through vendor press releases. Placements announced only on a vendor’s own website are left out.
  • Omdia’s 2024 report is the only one with a full public list, in a licensed excerpt.
  • There’s no Gartner Magic Quadrant for CCM from 2025 or 2026, and Forrester’s last CCM Wave is from 2016.

What each report actually measures is explained in CCM analyst reports.

How big the CCM market is

Market sizing firms agree it’s growing but not on how big it is. They use different definitions and base years, so treat the spread as the uncertainty.

PublisherEstimateGrowth forecast
Fortune Business InsightsUSD 2.31 billion (2025), USD 2.58 billion (2026)12.1% a year to 2034
Research and MarketsUSD 2.2 billion (2025), USD 4.9 billion by 2034About 9.4% a year
SNS InsiderUSD 1.7 billion (2023), USD 4.5 billion by 203211.3% a year

Demand looks solid, too. In Omdia’s 2024 survey, more than 28% of enterprises planned strategic CCM investments and another 34% planned smaller ones.

How we calculate the scores

It’s deliberately simple, so anyone can check it. Every input is a number shown on a public page on October 15, 2026.

  1. Collect. Record each product’s rating and review count on G2, Gartner Peer Insights, TrustRadius and Capterra. Listings for a broader product, like Adobe’s whole Experience Manager suite, are left out.
  2. Put it on one scale. Everything becomes out of 5. TrustRadius scores out of 10 are halved.
  3. Weight. Average the sites, weighted by review count. That’s the “Weighted” column.
  4. Adjust for small samples. Blend each score with the category average (4.40), giving the average the weight of 25 reviews: adjusted = (25 × 4.40 + weighted rating × reviews) ÷ (25 + reviews). That’s the “Adjusted” column.
  5. Keep analyst placements separate. Each report uses different criteria and most are only partly public, so they sit in the heatmap, not the score.

We include products listed in a CCM category on at least one review site or in a 2024 to 2026 CCM analyst evaluation. Help desk and messaging tools are excluded. Spot an error? Send us a public source through the contact page.

How to use these ratings

Ratings help you cut a long list to three or four. They don’t make the decision for you.

  • Filter by must-haves first. Hosting, volume and integrations knock out more vendors than ratings do. Our SmartCOMM alternatives and best CCM software guides start there.
  • Read reviews from your peers. Gartner Peer Insights lets you filter by industry and company size. An insurer’s review matters more to an insurer.
  • Ask for the report, not the badge. Leaders usually license the analyst report for prospects. Read the cautions, not just the praise.
  • Score everyone the same way. Use the CCM vendor scorecard and CCM RFP template. For the wider category, start with the CCM software guide.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Gartner Magic Quadrant for CCM in 2026?

No. There's no 2025 or 2026 edition. IDC, QKS, Aspire and Omdia run the current evaluations, and Gartner's public CCM coverage is its Peer Insights review market of 53 products.

Which CCM vendor has the best reviews?

Quadient Inspire, once you weigh rating and volume together: 4.8 from 130 reviews on both G2 and Gartner Peer Insights, and 9.5/10 from 48 on TrustRadius. UniServe NXT scores 4.9 from 182 on Gartner but isn't on G2 or TrustRadius.

Why does the benchmark adjust ratings?

Small samples produce extreme averages, so one 5-star review could outrank 300 reviews averaging 4.8. We blend each score with the category average based on review count. Well-reviewed products keep their score; thinly reviewed ones move toward the middle.

How big is the CCM market?

Estimates vary. Fortune Business Insights puts it at USD 2.31 billion in 2025 and Research and Markets at USD 2.2 billion. Forecast growth runs about 9% to 12% a year.
